Ah, what wires have superseded our living –
The visible and invisible-
We are ever tuned to gadgetry –
Could this be a game of/for life
To live a parallel life in a virtual world ?
Its matrix – dismembering, DISTRACTING –
A form so diverged from the nature of living –
Lost in a virtual dimension, that we seldom discern
What we procreate, our progeny – only to be programmed
In 0s and 1s– the blaring blinks,
Blinding, it is like the blitzkrieg of machines, their screens –
To suck out the bud, every sap of life, to glean!
Devoid, deprived, depraved -
In the sleight of the virtual
Such is the gadget, gaming wiz
A" prodigy" to proclaim as prized?
What parenting would that be,
To watch your child getting hollowed out
By a machine, its intelligence artificial , overshadowing a living blueprint?
Unstimulated by nature, numbed in these gaming precincts!
And just like child’s play,
a human touch turns to a touchscreen!
What looms larger than our folly
Is a race of Frankenstein’s monsters,
Seething, scathing, self-destroying...
If only we had known to snap those wires in time,
Would we be salvaging those(a child's) human traces from an ingrown android?
