The Solitude of Walking

It is like that cobbled pavement sighing
To the squelch of my shoes, while walking
Each step ahead just in rhythm
With the moving, how everything else falls in place
What I pass by, those hanging branches brushing past
The streaks of those caresses that tug at me
But I don’t stop by
The rhythm has to go on
I need to feel the earth live, with every spring in my step
I need to feel I am alive in every breath!
