Tying the wedding knot;
Circumambulating the sacred-fire
That crackles over vows to divine summons
Symbolizing the oneness of man and woman
Marriages are made in heaven

The oneness, a celebration of distinctness
Working in unison,
Like streams merging with the sea- the largest
The destination as paved by destiny.
Then wherefore the differences
If marriages are made in heaven?

Likes and dislikes, love and hate;
Differences and distinctions, unconquered,
Acceptance or Reason
The first and the second, the shift, shuffling
Tearing grievances storming into
Marriages made in heaven

Is it wisdom lost or Pride pricked
Ego ensnared, or Tolerance tried,
The duel 'tween the dual
A Divine doing?
"Marriages are made in Heaven"

Stoic, enduring, binding, like the earth
The wisdom
to unwrap with change for Present
The change, the understanding and the acceptance,
The space for and between the two, like earth and ether
